Seperate entry from the Meteoritical Bulletin: History: The meteorite was found by an anonymous finder in Northwest Africa and bought by the main mass holder in Tagounite, Morocco. Physical characteristics: Fifteen individuals mostly covered with fusion crust weighing 290 g in total were found. Petrography: (A. Greshake, MNB). The meteorite displays a basaltic texture with pyroxene and maskelynite being the most abundant phases. Pyroxene is augite and pigeonite with fine exsolution lamellae and often shows a patchy compositional zoning. Minor phases include phosphates, exsolved ilmenite, pyrrhotite, and ulvöspinel. Glassy melt veins and pockets occur. Geochemistry: Mineral composition as determined by EMP: pyroxene, Fs27.1-56.6Wo13.2-35; maskelynite, An57.5Or2. Classification: Achondrite (Martian, basaltic shergottite); moderate degree of shock; low degree of weathering. Specimens: A total of 20 g plus one polished thin section are on deposit at MNB. Stefan Ralew, Kunibertstrasse 29, 12524 Berlin, Germany holds the main mass.
